On November 16th and 17th, Designplast was present at the Medica trade fair in Düsseldorf. It is a world-leading trade fair for the medical industry, and its great reputation as a source of reference in the field of medicine makes it the meeting point of the international medical industry. Medica has been the most important event in the field of medical technologies for over 40 years and has been established in the calendar of all experts.

The Medica, being the most significant medical fair in the world, attracts so many people from different countries, to be more precise, it attracts several thousand visitors from more than 50 countries in the pavilions. This year 2021, it has returned to the face-to-face format, Designplast had the opportunity to attend various meetings organized by the MEDICA Healthcare Brokerage Event, a very interesting event where synergies are created between companies.

In this edition, Designplast shared the stand of the Chamber of Commerce with the BCN Medicare Industrial Hub, a group of which it is part. From the stand, interested visitors were taken care of and all the services and solutions offered from the hub in the field of medical technologies were promoted. The group of companies that make up the BCN Medicare Industrial Hub excellently represented the hub and Catalonia, with a very good cohesion both inside and outside the fair.

Designplast also took the opportunity to visit exhibiting companies from different areas of the sector, in a total of the 13 pavilions of the fair. Like every year, the fair has been divided between the Medica part and the Compamed part where you could visit professionals from the fields of orthopedics, microelectronics, medical equipment…

Despite having less representation from exhibitors than the 2019 edition, this year has been a very productive fair for Designplast as it has made very interesting contacts with possible future collaborations.
