On Wednesday, November 23, the BCN Medicare Industrial Hub, in which Designplast is a participant, organized the first session to present the association.

The meeting began at 10 in the morning at the Ànima Design offices in Barcelona. Were met dozens of health professionals interested in this new Hub that combines technology with health. After a light welcome, attendees were able to listen to what the BCN Medicare Industrial Hub offers them: seven companies specializing in the entire value chain of a product, from concept to final product. Thus giving a comprehensive solution to companies. Next, Xavier Plantà from the Eurecat Technology Center gave us a presentation talking about bioplastics and biomaterials. He raised all the problems that exist as a result of the mismanagement of plastics and everything that the use of bioplastics entails. Once the presentation was over, we had a small snack in which we had the opportunity to network with the attendees and comment on what they had thought of this first presentation of the Hub. On this occasion, the attendees were able to see an exhibition of projects in the medical field developed by the members of the Hub.

It was an exciting day supported by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the mentor of the association, FENIN (Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies) and CataloniaBio & Health Tech.

Next year we hope it can be repeated with the same success of interest and attendees.
